A Change of Pace

Since becoming a mother and now a mother of two, life has really really changed! A few days ago I was walking with my childhood friend (a Londoner who goes to work every day on the tube) and realised that my walking pace has changed. She was uncomfortable with my pace and I was uncomfortable with hers. I too used to have that Londoners speed walk where I was always going somewhere in a rush, walking down the escalators, dodging through the crowds of people even when I wasn't in a hurry. Now I have a toddler  that wants to stop and explore the mundane things you usually miss, walk on walls and go in the opposite direction.
In my house I am always finding little pebbles, sticks, seeds and leaves dotted around in random places. I love my daughters little collections and it makes me look at things in a fresh and beautiful way. I like this slower pace...
